Dr. Shilpa Gokavi completed her master's degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the prestigious King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital, Mumbai.
She joined Dr. Gokavi Hospital as a Junior Consultant in March 2015 and contributes to the institution's continuing commitment to comprehensive women's healthcare.
For 50 years, Dr. Gokavi Hospital has served women's healthcare needs in Hubli. The hospital has continuously upgraded its infrastructure, skills and clinical expertise to provide comprehensive care in obstetrics, gynaecology, fertility treatment and minimally invasive surgery.
Over the last 15 years, the hospital has developed extensive experience in fertility treatment in Hubli. Thousands of couples have benefited from its fertility services, supported by evidence-based treatment planning and modern reproductive medicine facilities.
Dr. Gokavi Hospital has been a pioneer in advanced gynaecological endoscopic surgery in North Karnataka since 2006. In 2021, it became the first hospital in the Hubli-Dharwad region to acquire a 3D Laparoscopic Surgery Unit.
The team has particular experience in complex gynaecological surgery, including endometriosis, difficult fibroids, tubectomy reversal (tuboplasty) and pelvic reconstruction procedures. The hospital's teaching programmes and live surgery demonstrations have also been appreciated by professional audiences across India.
